SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD – 4 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Warranty Provider

2. Scope of Warranty

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that materially affect the structural integrity or safe operation of gates and automated gate systems supplied by SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD (“Goods”).

This warranty:

Applies to domestic use only, unless agreed in writing
Applies only to the original purchaser
Is non-transferable

3. Warranty Period & Commencement

Warranty Period: 4 years
Commencement Date: The warranty shall commence only once the final invoice has been paid in full AND the warranty has been successfully registered with SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD.

No warranty coverage shall apply until both conditions have been satisfied.

4. Installation Acceptance

Payment of the final invoice constitutes full acceptance of the installation as satisfactory and complete.

By making final payment, the customer confirms that:

The installation has been inspected
The works meet the agreed specification
No further changes, adjustments, or modifications are required

Any alterations requested after final payment are not covered under this warranty and will be treated as chargeable works.

5. Warranty Remedy (No Refunds)

Where a valid manufacturing defect is confirmed, SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD’s sole obligation under this warranty shall be, at its discretion:

Repair of the defective component, or
Replacement of the defective component with an equivalent item

Refunds are not provided under this warranty.

6. Fault Assessment & Manufacturer Inspection

Where a component is suspected or deemed to be faulty, SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD reserves the right to remove and return the component to the original manufacturer or supplier for inspection and assessment.

Warranty remedies apply only after confirmation of a manufacturing defect.

If the component is found not to be defective, or the issue is excluded under this warranty, all associated costs (including removal, refitting, inspection, testing, and carriage) may be charged to the customer.

7. Galvanising, Powder Coating & Surface Finish Disclaimer

Due to the inherent nature of metal fabrication and finishing processes, the following are considered normal characteristics and do not constitute defects:

Galvanising

Surface imperfections including runs, drips, ripples, ash marks, and texture variation

Powder Coating

Minor surface marks or texture variation
Colour fading of up to 30% over time

Composite Boards

Colour fading of up to 30% over time

8. Rust, Corrosion & Wear and Tear (IMPORTANT)

This warranty does not cover:

Small or surface rust
Normal wear and tear

Powder-Coated-Only Gates

Rust is not covered on powder-coated-only gates, including rust spots, rust bleed, or rust drips
Powder coating alone does not provide long-term corrosion protection

9. Composite & Timber Movement (IMPORTANT)

This warranty does not cover natural movement of composite or timber products, including:

Warping
Bowing
Shrinkage
Expansion
Twisting

10. Extreme Weather Conditions

During extreme weather:

Gates must be kept closed and secured
Automated gates should not be operated unnecessarily

Damage caused by failure to comply is not covered.

11. Annual Servicing Requirement – Automation & Electrical Components

To maintain warranty coverage for all automation and electrical components:

Annual servicing by SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD is required
Service cost: £180 + VAT per annual service
Servicing must occur within each 12-month period from the warranty commencement date

Failure to Maintain Annual Servicing

If the annual servicing fee of £180 + VAT is not paid or servicing is missed, overdue, or declined:

All automation and electrical components are excluded from warranty
Only the gate leaf/leaves and gate posts remain covered
Motors, control panels, wiring, safety devices, intercoms, and access systems are excluded

12. Moving Parts & Consumables

This warranty does not cover moving or consumable components, including:

Push buttons
Switches
Key fobs
Remote controls
Transmitters

Intercom Systems

Intercoms are covered for 12 months only from the warranty commencement date

13. Cleaning & General Maintenance

The gate must be kept:

Clean and free from dirt, debris, moss, algae, and contaminants
In a general tidy and serviceable condition

Neglect may invalidate warranty coverage.

14. Walls, Pillars & Supporting Structures

SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD accepts no responsibility for failure or damage caused by:

Walls, pillars, or structures not supplied and installed by us
Supporting structures not fit for purpose

15. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage arising from:

SIM cards, Wi-Fi, or data/network connectivity
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or unauthorised alterations
Water, wind, storm, or weather-related damage
Third-party adjustments, repairs, or programming
Vandalism, theft, fire, flooding, ground movement, or acts of God

16. Limitation of Liability

Liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the affected Goods. No liability is accepted for indirect or consequential losses.

17. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this warranty affects rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

19. Acceptance & Registration

By purchasing a gate or related products from SECUREDSTYLEGATES LTD, the customer confirms acceptance of this Warranty and the installation.
Warranty coverage is conditional upon successful registration and compliance with all servicing requirements.
